Perth born, NYC raised singer/songwriter Kristen Plati is releasing her newest single, “Wanna Be”, on January 1^st 2021.

Kristen Plati started singing at 5 years of age, studying in numerous styles and growing to be an incredibly versatile and accomplished singer. At the age of 19, after graduating from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, she moved to New York City to study at the American Academy of  Dramatic Arts. In March 2019, she released her debut album “Find Me Lost” on which all tracks were written/co-written by Ms. Plati herself. The album was well-received, and her first single “Boomerang” became the soundtrack for various national Macys commercials. Kristen herself appeared in a national commercial for Dia & Co, and she was a star of Bravo TVs “Your Husband is Cheating On Us”.

In November 2020, she released her single “Stone” which received over 20,000 Spotify plays.

“Wanna Be”, is a mid-tempo song about finding your strength in a toxic relationship and gaining the strength to be able to walk away when its what’s best for you. Written at a time of uncertainty and self-doubt, this highly personal and thoughtful song explores the repetitive nature of a toxic relationship, and knowing when you need to leave. The song was written by Kristen Plati, produced by Jevares Myrick and recorded in NYC at Lounge Studios with Mike Kuz.
